Over the past 70+ years, Equinox has met the urgent needs of those living with the most challenges and the fewest resources. Usually at this time of the year, we ask for your support of our Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner, but our urgent need is for support of the work we do to heal our community every day.

In the face of the pandemic, Equinox has worked tirelessly to innovate and safely provide essential services to homeless youth, victims of domestic violence, and those with serious mental illness and addiction—many whose lives were already marked by trauma and a lack of safety.

We’ve added:

-Tele-practice to provide behavioral health services remotely.

-A chat function on our website to give victims of domestic violence–who may be isolated at home with their abuser–another way to communicate with us.

-Social distancing and quarantining protocols at our residential services.

But the reality is we are heading into 2021 with significantly reduced revenues, added expenses, and growing community need.

Despite these obstacles, Equinox continues to meet critical needs—it’s what we have done, what we do and what we will continue to do as long as we are uplifted by our generous donors, like you, who continue to be there for Equinox and those we serve.

Finally, we’re happy to tell you that although our 2020 Thanksgiving Community Dinner will look a little different, it will still provide thousands of our neighbors in need with a holiday meal—safely prepared by grocery stores, hospital cafeterias, and local restaurants and caterers, with contact-free delivery by key volunteers.

But because of the pandemic, we are trying to raise $100,000 to purchase 10,000 meals. We are very grateful to St. Peters Health Partners for donating 1,000 meals. The more we raise, the more meals we can provide –help us make sure that no one is left out on Thanksgiving (and support local restaurants).
